We had a long weekend here in the USA and I was out of action for a couple of days. Let's see what the Bollywood babes have been up to in my absence:-)

Who: Sushmita Sen
Where: In "I am She"event

Sushmita in a black gown. Again. At first I thought she had feathers on her sleeve but looks like a polka-dot ruffle sleeve.A very ho-hum dress. I said dress, not her:-) She looks really tall..

Who: Vidya Balan
Where: Inauguration of Fertility seminar

Vidya doing a plain Jane in a simple but eye catching sari. Never realized she is so pretty. I wish she had worn her sari in a different way (Gujarati style) because it looks like the sari has a gorgeous paisley design ( u can see it in the first pic, at the tail end of the sari) which is completely hidden this way..

Interesting how a little red and beige can brighten up a plain black look..

Where: Opening of first 'Zara' store

Yay!! some bright colors!! The origami pattern at the waist takes this outfit from an ordinary ruffle dress to a drool worthy level. Of course, it does help that Lara is wearing it. Totally dig the pink envelope clutch.

Where: Raul Chandra's Experiment in arts, fashion and Music

This is one designer whose collection I would love to check out just based on her styling!! How gorgeous are her layered necklaces, embroidered belt and her dhoti pants. A casual yet elegant look.

Who: Neha Dhupia

Thats one dreamy gown!! Neha is on a roll nowadays with one good look after another on the red carpet..

Who: Sushmita Sen

Sushmita has such a strong personality that it overpowers whatever she is wearing. She looks like a Diva here with the gown accentuating her height. Having said that, I didn't quite like the white scarf i.e the way it is casually placed on such a formal gown..It looks incongruous:(

Who: Kalki Koechlin

Where: Launch of Esprit 2010 summer collection

The androgynous look was made popular by Diane Keaton in the 1970's movie Annie Hall. I havent seen anyone in Bollywood doing this look and pulling it off well. Kalki totally rocks it in a white ensemble with black bib and cute black flower pin. What do you guys think?

Shilpa's Endless Wardrobe

Its a jungle out there

Leopard print is a very classical animal print and always highly glamorous. It looks best when paired with solid neutral colors like Twinkle does here. Her dress has a simple silhoutte and she sticks to black accessories, letting the print take the spotlight..I do like her outfit but I would wear something like this in winter and not in a hot summer..

Mushtaq Sheikh is a script writer (Om Shanti Om and Billu Barber) and who's who of Bollywood turned up for his sister's wedding. Lets start from the top:-)

How cute are the sequins on her saree and her matchy-matchy clutch!! She wears the saree very well..

Who: Sophie Choudry

If I am not mistaken that's 'Patti ka kaam' - an exquisite embroidery work of Aligarh in Uttar Pradesh..I am a big fan of this stuff and after seeing how good Sophie looks, getting this one on my next trip:-) Blogging is soo not good for my wallet!!

Simple but elegant..

Who: Isha Koppikar

I didn't like the red purse - just doesn't flow with the whole outfit..

Who: Prachi Desai

The outfit is very causal for a wedding and her hair looks unkempt..

Who: Katrina Kaif

This is a cute, chic dress paired with equally cute gold t-straps. Katrina kept her makeup simple and wore no accessories, not even earrings. Did someone tell her she is at a wedding?? Katrina looks very washed out and so out of place. Maybe she is sleep walking:p

So which white outfit did u like best??

Who: Kangana Ranaut

That is a very tacky saree and isn't that a little too much skin for a wedding?? Is she dressed up for an 'item number' or is she just flaunting her flat tummy??..I bet the bride is ready to kill her..

Who: Genelia D'Souza

The top has two different shades of blue - both of which are very summery. The contrast with yellow doesn't work for me otherwise the outfit is pretty..what about you guys??

I love both the color combinations.. Haven't seen Celina for some time on the red carpet - not that I am complaining!! Looks like she is still stuck in the same look..Will check back in few months and see how she is doing:-)

We are going to see a lot of her in the next few months since she has two movies coming out..I like the chain necklace from the first look, the draped top from the second and the beautifully pleated bib from the last look..She has different hair styles in all the looks!! hmm, tough choice but will go with loose, curly hair..Which look did u like best?

Looks like Sonam has a thing for Military jackets - this time she wears a black sleeveless vest with black capris. She looks trendy and fresh - love her soft pink makeup and her causal, wavy hair. The relaxed vibe really compliments the outfit..

On a shopping note, I saw a similar vest at Express on sale.

Nice dress. Nice shoes. Totally dig her mismatched bangles although I would have preferred them both on the same arm..Somehow the pieces don't add up to a great look..

For once, Barbara gets it right in a light as air white dress worn with really cute espadrilles. Perfect look for summer..Then she goes and wears a dowdy floral dress...

The print of this Maxi-dress reminds me on the Indian festival of Holi:-) Nice to see her in something other that tights..Cute and adorable but the dress would have looked better without the sleeves - maybe spaghetti straps??

We have only one model this month - Lisa Haydon on the Elle cover..Anyways, models are a dying breed - there are only so many days you can live without food:-) Although, looking at sizzling Lisa and Deepika, I think I may have to forgo chocolate sundaes for a looong time.
Totally adore the Chanel temporary tattoo that Deepika has on her hand....And Lara is wearing an Ikat Gucci dress and we just did Ikat style a month back!! maybe she is reading our stuff:-) And I like Shilpa's hairstyle - it gives her a very chic look..

Aha! I knew it!! Under all those PG13 gowns, Mallika was waiting to strip her way out:-) She does have the body and the confidence for a cutout gown but its too slutty for me..If the cutouts were a wee bit smaller, this could have been a pretty good outfit with its beautiful color and gorgeous train..

Looks like Suzanne got her hair done this time:-) Her makeup is bad (too much orange blush) but she outdid herself in the clothes department.Totally dig her dress but she should have skipped the white wrap..Suzanne has lots of things going for her - a good figure, decent looks/complexion and lots of moolah but has never really 'wowed' me on the red carpet..On the the other hand, Hrithik is hot!! or maybe I am partial to light-eyed men;-)

Aishwarya kept it simple and elegant in a black Herve Leger dress for the Raavan photo call. I like her hair this way - loose, curly and tousled. She should have gone for big pearl drop earrings...Abhishek complimented her in red leather jacket and jeans ensemble. On the fence for Abhi's red jacket..

OMG!! This is what I call a sari:-) Aishwarya completely nails it in an exquisitely embroidered Sabyasachi sari worn with a contrasting deep green blouse. She kept her makeup/accessories simple and let the sari be the focal point.A slightly bigger 'bindi' would have been better but that's just me, nitpicking:-) Abhishek looks dapper in a black suit and they make a gorgeous pair...

I think I need sunglasses with all this shine!! Suzanne's drop-down waist dress is very cool but somehow with her accessories and her hair/makeup, it falls very flat..Hrithik is usually a pretty good dresser but has overdosed on satin here..

I am not able to make out the bottom part of the dress - is that a black and blue print? is it supposed to be this wrinkled?? I do love the top half with its origami pleated bow and ruched bust..

Little Bo Peep has lost her sheep?? I love the dress with its fitted bodice and full volume skirt and her makeup is also good... I dont like the shoes, either peep-toes for girly look or the same shoes but in another color (black??), would have looked better.. and the hair style is really terrible..This kind of touseled hair style looks nice on longer hair..what do u guys think??
