Wills Lifestyle India Fashion Week 2011 - Anita Dogre

I had a tough time downsizing Anita's collection to just nine pieces - everything was gorgeous! Loved how she used Indian textiles with western silhouettes. Black and gold combination never looked this good!

Who do I see wearing this collection? Deepika Padukone and Sarah Jane in the minis. Neha Dhupia in the last outfit, middle row.

Lakme Fashion Week, Winter Festive 2010 - Anita Dogre

Anita Dongre’s collection at the LakmĂ© Fashion Week Winter/Festive 2010 show was called “A Tale of Two Cities” and consisted of two distinct collections from designer.

In her prĂȘt INTERPRET line, she presented dresses aimed at the jet-setting women on the go. The dresses were subdivided into two different color schemes. One was a monochromatic look in colors like red, green, blue and black. All these dresses were bodycon with lots of draping.
In the other, she used cotton fabric with traditional hand block prints in earth tones. Again bodycon dresses, with silver embroidery at the hemline or the neck. She kept the silhouettes simple.

In the Anita Dongre - TIMELESS, Anita presented ethnic wear in cotton fabric and vegetable dyes and hand block prints.

I liked the dresses done in Indian prints but again nothing very striking. Her TIMELESS collection was much better with beautiful lehengas paired with velvet blouses. All the models had the same hairstyle (ugy!!) , same style of footwear and loads of silver jewelery from Amrapali. I loved the stacked silver bangles..

Lakme fashion week Summer/Resort 2010 - Anita Dongre

Anita Dogre presented an all white collection inspired by her love for Jaipur. There were two lines in her collection. One called 'Interpret' consisted of resort wear and the second 'Timeless' consisted of ethnic wear. Beautiful pieces with sparkling gorgeous silver embroidery. Perfect for day and night wear in summer! I esp. love the last anarkali with silver churidar/leggings..
