Lakme Fashion Week, Winter Festive 2010 - Narendra Kumar

Lakme Fashion Week - Winter Festive 2010 kicked off to a great start with Narendra Kuma's collection titled "Sounds of Mumbai". If was an off-site show and Narendra set-up his runway to resemble Bombay's railway platform complete with two boogies!!

His collection opened with outfits for the working woman, then moved onto sporty looks for club and cocktail wear and finished with evening looks with figure hugging gowns. The color palette was mainly earth tones and he used a lot of different fabrics - raw silk, tussore, organic cotton, silk and georgette. Very simple silhouettes and extremely wearable collection but nothing that makes me wanna lust:-)

Key Looks

I would love to see Neha Dhupia in the first outfit, first row and the first outfit in the second row is perfect for Dia - sweet with a just a little bit of oomph.

What are your thoughts on the collection?

Oh the looks are sweet, alright. But so Naari! Like you said, not at all lust-worthy. Am leaving for Hyatt in a while. Let's see what unfolds today.

@Dandelion: Yes, Kangana can totally rock it as long as she gets her hair right..

Am loving the dress (bottow row, far left) but agree with you - wearable but not particularly innovative!
