Lakme Fashion Week, Winter Festive 2010 - Babita M

Babita's collection at Lakme Fashion Week was called “Irzina Kara” or “Ravishing Earth”. It was inspired by the Cappadocia mountainous province of Turkey. The key features of her collection was asymmetrical silhouettes and structured draping. Dresses had zippers for interest on different parts of the garments and lots of cut work to add dimension to the clothes. Most of her clothes were wearable and easy on the eye. Pooja Batra returned to ramp modeling with Babita's show.

Key Looks

Red Carpet picks : Given her height, Shilpa can carry the first dress in first row to perfection.

Oh myyyy... this is SUCH a beautiful collection! I love it, would wear all these.

The global fashion industry needs to open their insular minds and pay attention to what Indian designers are doing. The 'new' wave of creativity is coming from the Indian aesthetic... well, it's always been there, designs and ideas get 'borrowed' all the time but this time I'm talking about the whole shebang!

I can actually see Shilpa in the 2nd flowing dress and I would pay to see Bipasha wearing something like that!!!
